Who Killed
Benjamin "Rush" Cowherd?


On December 5, 2005 the Jackson County Sheriff's Office began investigating the Homicide of Benjamin "Rush" Cowherd. Mr. Cowherd was found on Monday morning by a local fisherman at the Christoff Ferry Boat Landing. This landing is located off Bump Nose Road approximately five (5) miles north of Hwy 90 in Marianna, Florida.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Office is asking for the assistance of the public to help solve this case. Investigators would like to talk with anyone that was at the boat landing on Sunday, December 4, 2005 between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and Monday, December 5, 2005 at 12:00 a.m. Investigators would also like to talk with anyone who was at the Tom Thumb Store in Cottondale, Florida on Sunday, December 4 between ths time of 5:15 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. This store is located at the intersection of Hwy 231 and Hwy 90.
